Looking for a fun, relaxing and educational experience this summer?

Let's go for a walk!

We'll soften our vision as we increase our awareness of everything that surrounds us.

We'll identify more than 50 medicinal plants but likely have a stronger focus on about 5-10 and talk about some of their actions and useful applications. We'll sit with some plants and really spend some time getting a feel for their personalities.

This class will be about 2 hours long with time for questions and feedback at the end as we enjoy a hot mug of nourishing herbal infusion. 

Bring a hat and water bottle.

No pets or young children, please.

Medicine Making: Water & Alcohol Extracts

Want to know how to make your own powerful plant medicines?

I'll be going over how to make high quality infusions, decoctions, syrups and tinctures that we gather fresh from my garden that very morning!

Everyone will get to sample some infusion and take home a jar of herb that is tincturing to be pressed at home after a full moon cycle.

We will discuss the appropriate uses and benefits of each of the different ways of making medicines and you’ll leave with in depth knowledge and confidence to continue making plant medicines at home.

August 30 is an Herbal Infusions + Decoctions/ Water based extractions, Oil based extractions and alcohol based extractions. Class in which we will go over using water, oil and alcohol to extract medicinal properties from plants by way of infusions, decoctions, tinctures, infused oils and preserving decoctions as a syrup. Each participant will get to try various teas and creations and get to take home a keepsake . Organic lunch provided. This half day workshop is 4.5 hours including lunch break.

         * The language of plants & plant communication
         * Plant ID & botanical names
         * Medicinal actions & properties of various plants
         * Growing tips
         * Best ways to utilize particular plants as medicine

         Afterwards we'll sit down and gather around the cauldron for a nice hot cup of nourishing herbal infusion, discussion & questions surrounding plants & medicine.

2 Hr Workshop cost is 43.00 + GST

          If you are curious about herbal medicines and looking to experiment with making your own nourishing and healing herbal infusions, syrups and tinctures- but have been intimidated or unsure how it's done- than this class is for you!

         In this class I will be going over how to make infusions, decoctions, syrups and tinctures. Everyone will get to sample an infusion and take home a jar of herb that is tincturing to be pressed at home after a month or two. We will discuss the appropriate uses and benefits of each of the different ways of making medicines. 

EARLY BIRD PRICING: 53.00 +GST. Register and pay before May 16, 2017 to receive early bird pricing. 
Regular cost for this class is 63.00+ gst and prices include all materials. Organic cane alochol will be used for making our tinctures.

Participants of my Medicinal Plant Walk & Cauldron Party on May 16 or May 30 will also receive an additional 10% off of this class (even on top of early bird registration!)..
