Medicine Walk

  • Nutrition Matters

   Learn about 50+ Medicinal plants as we walk around my half acre food forest and medicinal herb garden. We'll soften our vision as we increase our awareness of everything that surrounds us. We'll identify many plants as well as sit with some plants and talk about some of their actions and useful applications. I grow many native and naturalized species as well as some European and Asian varieties.

         We will discuss:
         * The language of plants & plant communication
         * Plant ID & botanical names
         * Medicinal actions & properties of various plants
         * Growing tips
         * Best ways to utilize particular plants as medicine

         Afterwards we'll sit down and gather around the cauldron for a nice hot cup of nourishing herbal infusion, discussion & questions surrounding plants & medicine.

2 Hr Workshop cost is 43.00 + GST

If all those attending could officially register for their date at their earliest convenience that would be most appreciated! Click here to register.

Adults & mature older children only please for safety reasons. No pets, thank you.

          If you are curious about herbal medicines and looking to experiment with making your own nourishing and healing herbal infusions, syrups and tinctures- but have been intimidated or unsure how it's done- than this class is for you!

         In this class I will be going over how to make infusions, decoctions, syrups and tinctures. Everyone will get to sample an infusion and take home a jar of herb that is tincturing to be pressed at home after a month or two. We will discuss the appropriate uses and benefits of each of the different ways of making medicines.
